The Canadians: anytime

lifestyle, personal

“Elizabeth walked right over the dragon and opened the door to the cave.

There was Prince Ronald. He looked at her and said, “Elizabeth, you are a mess! You smell like ashes, your hair is all tangled and you are wearing a dirty old paper bag. Come back when you are dressed like a real princess.”

-The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch

It’s hard not to get emotional as I write this blog post. I don’t know if it was how adorable Canadian Zoe was as she scooted across the floor on her tushkin [bum], or they way they said “sorry” and actually meant it, the maple leaves, or how we could stay up talking till 1am like I’d known them forever [and it wasn’t awkward!], or maybe it was the way they looked at my friend and how they came from across the country just to see her, love her, and bless her before her last baby is born, but Meredith, Jennie, and Canadian Zoe captivated my heart.

Long before they landed at LAX we decided that some time on Sunday would be reserved for a photoshoot. We ended up driving to the OC looking for some sun, we were unsuccessful at finding any but that didn’t have an effect on the amount of laughing we all did.

I will not soon forget the moments I spent with these ladies.

We paused the photoshoot early on and made a stop for candy.

Canadian Zoe clearly stole the show. ♥

laughing so hard your nose krinkles is the best kind of laughing

You left out my favourite part… "Ronald," said Elizabeth, "your clothes are really pretty and your hair is very neat. You look like a real prince, but you are a bum." They didn't get married after all.

    They're beautiful Stacee!
