I have spent every single one of my 23 Christmas’s in South Dakota visiting family. And up until I got my first job I also spent 2 weeks every summer in the same place. Never, before today, have I taken the time to wander the streets and take photographs. I wanted to last year, but it was snowing so bad the entire time we were here we never even left my Grandma’s house. Today my dad went to go wash his car [it got pretty filthy driving across the country] and I asked him to drop me off on Main Street so I could take a few pictures.

In case any of you were wondering, the back alleyways of Sturgis are like an ice skating rink. Watch out for the ice.
