My Auntie Loves Me: personal

personal

I woke up just after 9 this morning. Finally a day to sleep in! I made a mental list of all I was going to accomplish. The sessions I would edit, the photographs I would take, the blog posts I would write and schedule–oh yes I can be that prepared!

Oh the goals I had for today!

Instead I ran into computer problem after computer problem. Between my laptop just deciding to shut off whenever it felt like, and my desktop not uploading a vital program for editing I abandoned my list, grabbed my camera, and walked down the driveway.

What better way to spend a failed day than sitting on my neighbor’s kitchen floor, giggling with my 5 year old best friend, talking about dreams with my grown up friend, and holding my little baby.

Zoe is 4 months old now. I can’t believe how quickly time has passed since she was born. She’s so small in those first photos, and now she’s so big and full of personality and smiles. Watching her grow has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I do realize that she is not actually my baby, but I’ve been so incredibly blessed by being her Aunt Saycee.

This is not at all what I intended on blogging today, but I hope you enjoy a little peek into my afternoon on the kitchen floor. I promise, real blog posts are coming soon!
