4th of July: Hawthorne Lifestyle Photographer

personal

A few weeks ago Brenna’s mommy invited myself and the Anderson family over for 4th of July. Fireworks aren’t legal in the town I live in, but they are where Brenna lives. Sooooo the choice was obvious. I went to Brenna’s. 😀

We BBQed, listened to the Beach Boys, and hung out in the back yard lighting smoke balls and blowing bubbles. Not to mention laughing and passing around the cutest baby ever. ;] Then when it got dark enough, we moved to the front yard to set off fireworks and watch all the neighbors firework displays.

I kind of went a little crazy and took about a billion pictures of the fireworks. I was having too much fun switching from manual to bulb and playing with long exposures. But, I don’t care. That’s just who I am. ;]

It’s *so* easy to get Brenna to take dumb pictures. All I have to say is “hey, shove your face full of food.” and she does.

Jack, was *all* kinds of interested in the fireworks. I can’t imagine why… maybe the fire and destruction ;]

Zoe wasn’t so sure she liked the loud pops… but she didn’t cry at all!

Then it got dark, we moved to the front yard, and started lighting the good stuff.
it looks like pixie dust. 😀

We brought out the sparklers, my favorite!

And, I’m sorry, but does this not look like something straight out of Harry Potter?
He’s got Lumos down pat! He just needs his robes…

This is why I love sparklers, light graffiti anyone?

I hope you all had a happy and safe 4th! And, in case you missed the post last week, I’m giving away a photo session through a contest on my facebook page! All you have to do is email me a picture and tell me why you want to win a session. Super easy, right? So you should do it! 😀
