Soo Bahk Do: Personal
My life is not the life of a normal 20-something.
I spend the majority of my time hanging out with my neighbors, including their 4 children. I hang out in their living room, fall asleep on their couch, use their computer to check my facebook, play mario kart on their wii, and am invited to stay the night when it’s raining so hard I don’t want to walk home… down the driveway. I don’t think that’s what “normal” a 23 year old does, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
As soon as I pulled in the driveway after work tonight I got a text saying I needed to come over because everyone was getting ready to go to the kids’ Soo Bahk Do test and of course I was coming along! This is the second time I’ve been able to see Jack and Phoebe test for a new stripe in their Soo Bahk Do class, I couldn’t be more proud of them. I brought my camera with me, you know, just in case, and then I totally turned into one of those mom’s who gets too close to the action just to get the shot. I’m embarrassing, I know. ;]

Zoe was wide awake at the beginning of Soo Bahk

Then Zoe fell asleep

During the final part of their test, they had to break a board. I was SO nervous!!

And then I got to be proud “Aunt Saycee” as they both got new stripes on their belts.

So darn cute! I love the pictures! Your white balance is pppppeeeeerrrrfffeeect! Of course, only I would pay attention to that….. .
Thank you for coming to our testing tonight. It is great having friends and family come and join in on the excitement and sharing of the student’s accomplishments. You take wonderful photos. Would you mind posting some of them on our studio facebook page?
Sincerely,
Joshua Duncan
If you were “normal”, you probably wouldn’t fit in over here. Thank you for these pictures and SO MUCH MORE.
I love your Soo Bahk Do photos.
