A few months ago I met up with one of my friends, Joe, so he could talk to me about RYLA. I had never heard of it before but was hooked as he told me about this great leadership program for teenagers. It takes kids away from their homes for a weekend and teaches them about teamwork, using creativity, and following their dreams. I was invited to spend this past weekend on Catalina Island at Campus By the Sea to photograph RYLA 2011.

Enjoy a little peek into a jam packed weekend of boat rides, friendship building, teamwork, and of course the 4-C’s: Communication, Cooperation, Compassion and Creativity.
