Happy Memorial Day!
Happy Memorial Day!!
I’ve been out of town this weekend for a *much* needed break from life and work. [Not that I’ve actually taken a break from work, the number of blogs I have ready to post this week is amazing. Even I’m impressed haha] Saturday after we got up here I took a 3 hour nap. Oh my goodness. It was like what a real vacation is supposed to be like. Sleep.
Yesterday, my family drove to Bodie. A ghost town that I haven’t been to in yeeeears. When I was a kid my family would come to June Lake every Memorial Day weekend, then we grew up and got jobs and it got hard to get time off work, so it’s been awhile since we’ve been up here together. I was supremely excited to go to Bodie because, hello photo ops! The trip wasn’t quite as magical as I had imagined, because of some intense snow and freezing cold weather. We only lasted outside of the car for about 45 minutes and barely made it through one street of the town, but it was still fun. 😀 We’re already planning a summer trip out here, that way there’s no chance of snow. ;]
Again, Happy Memorial Day, everyone! I hope if you get the day off you enjoy it! I’ll be back home later today and back to normal responses to emails tomorrow. Be safe!!
These few photos were taken before we left our cabin.

brick is one of my *greatest* loves. *swoon*

I may blow this photo up and frame it.

It started snowing.. really bad actually. Susanna wasn’t a fan.

Brenna felt a little differently. ;]

Maggie, was also *not* a fan.

Thank goodness for museums.. we had a few minutes to get warm!

Phil was very cold. So he ran back to the car.

First: These photos are incredible.
Second: Oh Maggie <3
I LOVE the first and last photo, and maggis is so adorable 🙂
