It’s Because You Let It Go: personal

This blog is no stranger to personal posts, if there’s one thing I love it’s being able to look back at where I came from, and having this blog to document the ups and downs of my personal and professional life is kinda the best. This post is going to be no different. ;]

This morning I was chatting with a friend about my dreams and goals for this year. It’s still January and I still feel like this year has so much potential for change and for new things I’m almost bursting with excitement of the possibilities and in the middle of that I got an email from a bride, she’s getting married later this year at an amazing location and everything about her email screamed “ideal client! ideal client!!”

I shared this with my friend and said: “That is a 9th wedding I would definitely take.” Because, January isn’t even over and the 8 weddings in 2012 goal I set for myself has already been reached. Her immediate response was: I love how you say “No, not a wedding photographer” and God goes “Just kidding”

Then she said, It’s because you let it go.

How true that statement is to my life. As soon as I let my dreams go and give them to God, He picks up the slack. He knows whats best for me, better than I do and He has my best interest in mind. Years ago my former youth pastor prayed that all of God’s dreams for me would come true. I’ll never forget that, and I feel like the more I let go the more God’s dreams for me actually are coming true. I am so thankful for that.

This album was delivered to a Kim & John last week and I just had to share. A gorgeous album next to my new purple chair, what’s better than that? ;]

p.s. For all of you photographers out there, this album was ordered from Madera Books, it was my first time ordering from them and oooooh how I am in love! Everyone should hold one of their albums in their hands… you’ll never want to put it down. Seriously.

  3. Jackie Lamas says:

i am on you with letting God be the driver. I used to worry and get stressed and now, I simply say, God, help me out. And he does. He knows just what to do. I’m glad that you have your 9th Ideal client and that you get more! Cute album too!
