Carolina & Scott: Long Beach Proposal Photography

engagement

Downtown Long Beach is definitely in my top favorite places to photograph people. I love it. The buildings, the brick, the “city” feel without being too big city. I often think if the opportunity were to arise I would move to a cute remodeled condo in a high rise building off of Ocean Blvd… until I think of how many freeways I’d have to take to see those kids I love so much. Then I reconsider. ;] That’s why I decided to do one day of mini sessions in Downtown Long Beach this year.

Scott was one of the first people to email me about booking a mini session, he told me about his girlfriend Carolina and about her birthday and that the session date was perfect timing for him to book it as a present. We settled on a time and worked out all the details and then he emailed me again, “This might sound crazy but I was thinking that it might be a cool idea to propose to her during the session.” Um. YES!

So this past Saturday the 3 of us met up for their mini session the only thing is Carolina didn’t know exactly how special these few minutes would end up being.
They didn’t really need any time to warm up to the camera, they are clearly already adorable pros. But we made a quick stop in an alleyway for a few photographs first. Then, with gorgeous light and the city behind them, Scott got down on one knee.LOVE her face!I think guys who decide to hire a photographer to capture their proposal are the best kind of guys. Having these tears and smiles to hold on to forever… that’s the best. You picked a good guy, Carolina. ♥To give Carolina a minute to breathe and to let what just happened sink in a little bit we walked to the end of the block to my favorite brick wall in the world… or at least Southern California. 😉Sunshine and tall buildings! My faaaavorite!!This is one of my favorites. Nose crinkling smiles are the best. Hands down. ♥Guys, if you want to propose to your girlfriend during a mini session… or if you are interested in a mini session there are still a few spaces left on November 3rd and November 23rd!
