Last weekend was Halloween, and while I did spend a good 3 hours wandering the neighborhood Trick-or-Treating with the kiddos– that is not what’s important. What’s important is the day after Halloween. November 1st.

The day Red Cups come out at Starbucks.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I am NOT a fan of how early Christmas comes to stores and the fact that Target has Christmas aisles set up before Halloween is wrong. On so.many.levels. But when Red Cups start appearing at Starbucks? Something magical happens.

The morning of November 1st I got out of bed and immediately tried to figure out where I was going to squeeze a coffee date into an already too packed day. So when Alexis said she needed to run to the grocery store I met her in the driveway and we got our Red Cups filled with coffee to-go before craziness of the day had a chance to start.

The problem is, I am a creature of habit. I do some variation of the same thing every single day and I probably haven’t had Starbucks coffee once this year, because I already drink the best coffee ever at home so why would I pay $4 when I could have a better cup of coffee at home? But, something magical happens when the Red Cups come to Starbucks. So after our morning Starbucks run I walked in the door at home and I might have poured my Nonfat White Chocolate Mocha No Whip down the sink and immediately filled my Red Cup with coffee from my own coffee pot.

My rebrand has been kind of like the Red Cups at Starbucks. I’ve been waiting and anticipating the magic that was coming, but I was too stuck in my old ways to give in to change.

Until now.

I am SO so soooooo excited to announce the launch of my new website and new blog today! Joanna at Waterfall Creative has been putting up with all of my crazy and has created something truly magical that I love SO much.
