Lost Dutchman State Park Engagement Photography. // A few years ago I was training to run a half marathon and I was so good at waking up early! My alarm would go off at an ungodly hour so I could get through training runs before it was too hot outside. But that was a few years ago and I have most definitely fallen out of that wake up early habit.

Rachael & Chris are getting married in Temecula this fall but recently they’ve moved their lives from Southern California to Arizona so we decided to do their engagement session in Arizona. I’m always up for an adventure and when that adventure takes me to a desert you know I won’t say no. 😉

Back to sunrises, when Rachael and I were brainstorming locations for their Arizona engagement session we were sending ideas back and forth and then I came across Lost Dutchman State Park. I was obsessed from the moment I saw photos. After checking it out on Google Maps I realized the lighting would be the most ideal at sunrise so I sent Rachael an email that was like this place is epic and wonderful the only drawback is we need to meet at 6:30am to get the best lighting. I hit send and crossed my fingers they’d be in to wake up early because I [selfishly] really wanted to shoot there. Hahaha!

I have the best couples because these two were total troopers and met me at 6:30 in the freaking morning to do their engagement photos! I love it!! I’m so excited to share this Lost Dutchman State Park Engagement with you to show off this awesome couple and this really stunning location.
