A moment I will never forget is getting off the PATH on 33rd Street on Friday morning of our trip. It was a little later than we’d anticipated… getting up and out of our apartment was harder than it was supposed to be, but walking up the steps and out the door into Manhattan with Alexis and Jennie is one of those moments that will forever be engraved in my memories. The tall buildings, the people, the traffic, the taxis. I’m pretty sure years ago when this friendship started none of us EVER imagined we would make it to New York City together. EV-ER.
But we did.
Our trip was 5 days long and we spent a day and a half in the city. [Half of Friday and all of Sunday.] This was our view as soon as we stepped out on to the the streets of Manhattan.
I really adore the subway.I’m pretty sure this is the moment I started crying. Those leaves. My heart. ♥Walking through Central Park is like walking through a Chick Flick. The Boathouse!! Like in 27 Dresses!?! ;]Early on in our planning one of our MUST see’s was Parsons and Mood. Alexis and I have watched probably every season of Project Runway, we were giddy with excitement. It’s SWATCH!!!!This starts our 2nd day in the city. We tried to get an early start… again we failed. HAH! But we still managed to pack almost everything we wanted to do into the day. Starting with a walk through The High Line.Pretty girl. ♥When you travel with photographers… you have to take picture breaks. Especially when the light is good.A leaf that is just starting to change!? You don’t see things like that in Los Angeles.HUGE thank you to My Jennie for taking this picture of me.When the 3 of us found ourselves in San Francisco last year we had Blue Bottle Coffee… when I saw there was a Blue Bottle at the High Line it became a scheduled stop in our day. Blue Bottle is SO good!!A heart!!!And before this post becomes 70 million pictures long I will stop here. This is the Hudson River and on the other side of the river is New Jersey, where we stayed. 😀
And now for the fun part! Jack drew the name again for the 2nd winner of my favorite things…. drumroll….. ;]
Courtney!! Expect an email from me in your inbox in a few minutes!!
When I starting making a list of my favorite things to give away on the blog I knew I wanted to do something epic on Friday, so I started thinking about my favorite places to shop and what kind of gift cards I would want to win. Anthropologie seemed like a given. Who doesn’t love Anthropologie!? But then I thought a little harder and realized when I’m dreaming about things I want, it’s rarely tangible things. I would SO much rather have an adventure or make a memory than buy a $200 sweater. So todays giveaway is an adorable print from Hey There Design and a $50 Southwest gift card. So you can kickstart an adventure of your own! ♥
