Rachel & Anthony: Palos Verdes Engagement Photographer

I don’t even know where to begin. This couple is AMAZING. You may remember back in February I held a contest for Valentine’s Day and the winning couple won a photo session. Rachel & Anthony had tons of supporters and throughout voting they were constantly fighting for first place. They ended up winning and used the session for their engagement photos. 😀

He was friends with one of her friends, and he always seemed to be hanging around. Good thing. Talking led to instant messaging, which led to hanging out, which led to dating, which led to a proposal this past January. They’ve been together for four and a half years; through college and job searching, through serving alongside each other in a youth group Anthony is the director of, and soon through seminary as he prepares to start a program this fall to become a pastor. Their wedding is planned for June next year. It will be held closer to their home in San Diego but our session was held a little more north, near my house and Rachel’s parent’s house. I was actually able to walk from my house to our first location and found out there are some pretty cool spots to take pictures in my town that I never even knew about!

I have been so excited about this session for so long, and now I’m incredibly excited to share these images with you!

They worked really hard on perfecting their “serious” faces ;]

But laughing is way more fun!

Rachel & Anthony, words can’t express how much I enjoyed exploring the back alleyways of Lomita and the fields of Palos Verdes with you. I loved laughing with you and watching you try to be serious, thankfully I didn’t have to be serious as well! I hope as you continue your wedding planning these images will remind you of a moment in the beginning of your engagement and they will always make you smile. I wish we lived closer to each other, because I really want to hang out with you every day! But, I’ll just have to settle for facebook stalking ;] Thank you for letting me share in your moment.

I cannot speak highly enough of Stacee and how wonderful she is!! As you can tell from these photos, she is extremely talented and takes beautiful photographs. Having your picture taken is a very awkward thing, but Stacee made it fun and comfortable for us. It was a little mini adventure, walking all over the little city I grew up in; exploring places I didn’t know existed! Needless to say, we had an amazing time.

Stacee, you are fabulous! Winning this contest has been an answer to prayer and we are so thankful to you and everyone who made it possible. God works in wonderful ways, and it has been a blessing to get to know you. I will be praying for you and your dream of becoming a full time photographer, I know you can do it <3

    Much love,
    Rachel

P.S. We WILL hang out again! 😉

  3. Awesome shoot, Stacee! You seem to have really captured the MOMENTS! 🙂
