Lincoln Logs: personal
Saturday morning I woke up at 7 and started to get ready to go, Alexis and I were heading out to this epic garage sale we heard about. Church parking lot. Tons of stuff. There was *bound* to be something fun there.
After having to park a mile away, I’m almost not kidding, we perused through the stuff trying to find something amazing. The last few times we went garage sale-ing we had a plan: Legit frames. But, having already crossed that off our list we didn’t really have any goals this time around. Alexis found a pretty cool cake stand and a tea kettle but I couldn’t find any cool photoshoot props so I distracted myself with Zoe. ;]
Then, as we were standing in line to pay I turned around and something amazing caught my eye. LINCOLN LOGS! I went over to see if they were wooden or plastic [yes, it matters] and how much they were. Wooden? Yes! Price: $15, not bad, but more than either of us were willing to pay. So I put them back, rejoined Alexis in line and we recalled how amazing Lincoln Logs were when we were kids… or teenagers ;] Then something amazing happened. Someone working at the sale overheard our conversation and decided to give us the logs for $5. YES!!
Jack invited me over after church yesterday to play with him. ♥

Did you ever play with Lincoln Logs as a kid?
I remember playing with Lincoln Logs weeeeeeell into my teen years. Probably the most legit toys ever!
Matthew has had that same set for years. They kids still play with them every now and then. Usually it’s when I decide “they never play with these, let’s declutter them” and they all say, “NOOOOOOO!” Then they go unplayed with again until the next time that happens…LOL
Wow! Thats a lot more than we ever had growing up! Awesome!
