Zoe at 6 Months: Palos Verdes Baby Photographer

I’ve restarted this blog post like, 20 times. There aren’t words to adequately say how much I love this little girl or how thankful I am for the direction my life has come.

On Sunday after this session a bunch of people ended up in the driveway playing Kick the Can. I was sitting inside the Anderson house sorting photos and hanging out with Alexis, when she asked if I would watch Zoe for a few minutes so she could remake Zoe’s bed. Of course, no big deal. But then Jack comes in from playing outside with a bloody toe. Of course, no big deal?

So there I am, in the bathroom, balancing 6 month Zoe on one arm and trying to get 5 year old Jack to sit down on the floor long enough to clean his toe well enough to put a band-aid on, with the other arm. As Alexis came in with band-aids to save the day I laughed to myself. That scene is not abnormal in any way. Moments like that are what I love about my life.

This last weekend I spent my Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights hanging out, laughing, and having dinner with my married for 18 years friends. I think in the last 6 months, since Zoe was born, I’ve really learned what’s important to me. That the people I want to invest my time and energy, my laughs and my love with are the ones that have the same values as I do. Who really care about growing and loving Jesus, even if their ages range from 6 months… to married for more than half my life. ;]

That’s all I’ve got. Here are some photos of Zoe, she’s 6 months now. You’d think living next door to each other we’d have official shoots every month with this sweet girl. False. Every month we try and fail. So we were determined this time hahah! And, while I don’t specialize in newborn photography this was definitely a fun challenge to try something new.

Special thanks to Brenna: “The Lifeguard” [not pictured]
and Mark: “Protector from Wolves” and “Tu-Tu Holder” for coming a long on this shoot and being awesome 😀
