AVID Ohana: Manhattan Beach Lifestyle Photographer

Last summer Steven, aka Mr. Anderson, and I planned the first off campus photoshoot for his AVID kids. It was so fun we decided to plan another one, but on a larger scale. Instead of inviting just the AVID classes of 2011 and 2012 we would also invite his first AVID class, the class of 2007. This shoot could have potentially been of over 80 people. Crazy. But then the skies clouded up, and it rained in the morning. I think most people were turned off to the idea of a shoot in the cold, so only a handful of people showed up mostly seniors and 1 junior. But that was just fine with me, we laughed just the same.

Mr. Anderson taught his kids right, they were all over the playground helping little kids. It was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen.

yeah… that’s all three of the Anderson boys.. and then all three of them falling.

I’m not really sure how Genesis was only at the park for about 15 minutes, yet I still managed to get so many gorgeous shots of her…
I think it’s just because she’s gorgeous.

“You tell him: If he falls in that lake he is walking home!”

Let me pause for a second and say: Knowing these two has absolutely ruined me. The person I am today is not who I was before I started hanging out with them everyday. The cynical girl that once was has been replaced with a sappy girl that loves babies and constantly is inspired by their 18 year marriage and by their love. She’s also still very fluent in sarcasm and has some cynical flair ups, but still, they ruined me.
And I love them so much for it. I want to be like them when I grow up.

They don’t really need me in 9-3 anymore, they’ve got Jimmy, their own legit photographer in class every day.

“I WANT TO GO TO COLLEGE!!!!!”

I’m constantly taking pictures of Mr. Anderson that will get him in trouble.
