Katie: San Diego Maternity Photographer

Maternity

We used to pass notes in our first period 11th grade U.S. History class, and we spent a lot of time singing along to She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5. I could count the things I liked about high school on one hand, meeting Katie in Ms. B’s class is one of them. :] We got through U.S. History with A’s and made our way into our senior year and into AP Government. But as it often goes with high school after graduation you lose touch. I think in the 6 years it’s been since graduation, Katie and I met up at Starbucks once. Friend fail.

Thankfully Facebook came along, and it was through Facebook that I found out Katie had moved to San Diego and that she was expecting a tiny bundle of baby boy joy. The last few weeks of my life can only be described as insane, I started working a 3rd job and with my day job, my new job, and my photography business my days have been PACKED. But, thankfully last week I found myself in San Diego photographing an overnight trip with Da Vinci and on my way home I was able to meet up with Katie for a quick maternity session and a catch up on the last 6 years dinner.

It sounds so cheesy, but after all these years I loved that we were able to pick up right where we left off talking and laughing with zero awkward pauses. My heart is happy we have been able to reconnect. :]

Meet my friend, Katie, and her soon to be born little boy Gavin. <3
