I have a mental list of photos I want to take, of props I want my clients to use, and of places I desperately want to shoot. Angela emailed me about shooting her and Jason’s engagement session and when we started to talk about locations I could not get over how excited I was to hear they walk their puppy through the Venice Canals and they definitely wanted to bring beach cruisers along. That was TWO things checked off my mental list!

We met at the Canals a few weekends ago and wandered up and down the streets, alleyways and eventually on to the pier and we laughed. And let me tell you, it wasn’t cheap fake laughing, it was real and it was loud. So loud in fact that at one point a resident came out and yelled at us for being too loud… and then she called the police. Walking out of an alley with my clients and being met by a police car is not something I’d EVER thought would happen on a shoot, but, it kind of makes for the best story. ;]

It was right after this that we started getting yelled at… what can I say? It was funny.
