Oh there are a thousand ways I could start this blog post! I could talk about how I instantly fell in love with Jenny when she emailed me right after she and Matt got engaged this past Christmas and how I get the biggest smile on my face every time I get an email from her, or I could talk about meeting Matt and Jenny in person for the first time at their engagement party that I photographed last month, ooor I could talk about the day of their session. It was 90°. NINETY! In the beginning of March! And that’s not even an exaggeration. So let me tell you, Matt and Jenny are troopers because walking around [for Jenny in heels!] in some intense heat and still looking gorgeous is no easy task, but they pulled it off flawlessly!

We went to the Orange Circle Antique Mall for their session and wandered around the streets and alleyways [and an antique store where we got in trouble.. but you’ll see that later] laughing and trying to stay far away from the heat. I adore that place, every time I go I find something I’ve never seen. I have to give a few huuuuge thank you’s to Diana for coming along and shooting with me and to Alexis for styling part of their shoot and to Brenna and Zoe for helping!

Jenny wore her Grandmother’s necklace which I thought was incredibly special! ♥

The girl who owned the bike on the left came out of the store right as we started taking these photos, she was super nice and let me finish shooting before she took her bike away 😀

These were taken inside the antique store where we got in trouble. It was sad… but totally worth it ;]

Alexis is kind of my hero. I love that my clients can say “I have this idea…” and then instead of having to add one more thing to worry about before their session I can say here, work with Alexis, she’ll take care of blowing up 3 dozen balloons and staging them all right so you don’t have to. It’s magic.

As we were walking to the location to shoot these images we got to a parking lot and I see Brenna and Alexis standing near my car while a man was pushing it out of it’s parking space. My car battery totally died. So I had to continue to shoot while an amazing stranger jumped my car. I knew that I loved Matt, but in the middle of his engagement session when he wanted to help push my car and help jump it and when he kept making sure everything was alright I knew that I loved Matt. Jenny definitely picked a keeper and I am SO excited for their July wedding!
