Zoe, 18 Months: Palos Verdes Baby Photographer
Dear Zoe,
I will never forget the day you were born. I stood in the hall outside your hospital room and I didn’t want to go in, it sounds funny, but I wasn’t ready to meet you. You’d think after years of praying for a baby and 9 months waiting to meet you I would have been way past ready, but I wasn’t. You were too special. Those first few weeks Mama, Brenna & I told you over and over again that you had to stay the baby, you didn’t listen. A week and a half ago you turned 18 months. A year and a half. The days of me stopping by before work and you falling asleep in my arms are long gone and even though sometimes I miss it, every new day with you is my favorite day. ♥
You started doing a few new things over the last few weeks that make me want to ugly cry like the day you were born: just 3 weeks ago my name was “sss sss ssss” and now you can say “saycee”, when I ask for kisses you always lean in and say “mu-AH!”, and my new absolute favorite thing you do is when I pick you up and and you wrap your little arms around my neck [added bonus if you’re tired and you lay your head on my shoulder]. My heart.
I love you, Baby.
