“Joshua Tree, ily. Sometimes it makes me cry when I have to leave you.” That’s what I posted on Instagram when I started heading home from this Joshua Tree Engagement session. I still feel that way. I say it in every post but I straight up love the desert. I just feel calm there. Nothing is better than a cup of coffee and watching the sun rise on the San Jacinto Mountains. Whenever I’m in Palm Springs I always set my alarm for right before sunrise so I never miss that view. It speaks to my soul.
This Joshua Tree engagement session, like the ones before it, makes my heart sing. Like twirl around my little apartment happy. I loved every freezing cold minute of it. I know, I know. You think of the desert and you imagine 100º weather, poolside afternoons, some palm trees, a little cactus and all things mid-century modern. Like what you see on Instagram. That was NOT the case, even though you’d never be able to tell looking at these images. It was freezing. Think 50º and crazy cold wind. Erica & Adrian rocked it in their short sleeves and Erica’s bare feet! If you look on the bright side, the freezing cold gave them the perfect excuse to snuggle close… because warmth.
As always, thank you for taking time to visit my little corner of the internet. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do!
