Loews Santa Monica Wedding // Last week I was making lists in my head of all the things I wanted to get done. Wediting, scheduling instagram posts, writing blogs. All those things that are just way too hard but need to be done. You know the drill. I was scrolling Instagram, as one does, and it started recommending all of these houseplant hashtags and accounts to follow. If you’re looking for a way to instantly kill my productivity distract me with houseplants. I’m obsessed to my core. I am currently sharing a room with 6 plants. This is not a joke.

Miracle of miracles you’re reading this post right now so I must have gotten some work done at some point. 😉

Jen & Peter planned a destination wedding in LA and they timed it absolutely perfectly. It was sunny and 70º in Santa Monica for their April wedding. Meanwhile it was snowing back at their home in Chicago.

The day unfolded at Loews in Santa Monica. Jen & Peter decided against having a bridal party. Instead they opted for a quiet morning getting ready and the opportunity to see each other sooner in the day so they could spend more time together. We did their first look on the top floor of the hotel overlooking the Santa Monica Pier and the ocean.

One of the awesome things about Loews Santa Monica is that it’s right on the beach. So it was just a quick walk out to Jen & Peter’s ceremony site on the sand. Another fun thing about getting married on the beach in Santa Monica is you’re basically sharing your day with hundreds of tourists so there are countless people to be excited for you and offering congratulations.
