2009 was a big year for me. That summer I traveled out of the country, to Canada, for the first time to go to the IMAGINE Internship with Jamie Delaine.

A few weeks after I returned my Alexis also went to Canada… just the across the country Canada not the right above us Canada. To spend time with two friends who were very near and dear to her heart. Jennie & Meredith.

In the fall of 2010 Jennie & Meredith flew to Los Angeles to celebrate the soon to be birth of American Zoe [not to be confused with Canadian Zoe]. That is when I met who we oh so lovingly refer to as “The Canadians” for the first time.

Then, a lot of time passed and in the Summer of 2012 Alexis & I made our way to Toronto for a visit.

We’ve been incredibly blessed over the last 2 years to have found time for weekend wedding getaways in the Fall of 2012 in San Francisco and the fall of 2013 in Jersey City. But, Meredith hasn’t been able to join us on either of those trips. *sad face*

It is with ridiculous excitement and tears in my eyes I am happy to say at this very moment The Canadians are HERE in my city. We’ve been planning this trip for THREE years. Over the next 5 days Alexis and I have planned the most EPIC staycation we could imagine. But it’s all a surprise so I won’t say what we’re doing. ;]

Alexis and I maaaaaay have gone a teeny bit overboard in our planning. Jenny, one of my 2012 brides and one of my sweet friends designed daily itineraries to help in our fun surprises. They are my favorite surprise touch for the weekend. Every morning Jennie & Meredith will wake up to these adorably designed guys. ♥
